November 6
November 6, 13:30, Utrecht Centraal Station (the "trefpunt"). Be there.
Important update: At 13:45 we'll go to Stairway to Heaven. I expect you will be able to find us there the entire afternoon.
Present will be:
- Faruk Ates
- Hayo Bethlehem
- Rob Mientjes
- Arthur Lugtigheid
- Anne van Kesteren
- Arthur Steiner
Roberto De Almeida- Sjors Rijsdam
- Jurriaan
- Pieter Wigboldus
- me!
Like we did in previous meetings (April, June, July, August) we'll discuss politics, literature, movies, life, and of course webdevelopment related topics (throw a bunch of webdevelopers together and there is no avoiding that!) and whatever else we can think of. It's a great opportunity to meet the people behind the websites and make new friends.
If you'd like to join us, please contact me or leave a message in the comments. Since none of us are very familiar with Utrecht we'd like some suggestions on a cafe or other place to hang out.
I hope to see you November 6 in Utrecht!

We’re all Dutch, but if there are enough English people, we might just talk in English as well. I don’t mind talking in English for one person, but I don’t know about the rest.
And I’m sorry, but my Portuguese isn’t that great :P

We are all fluent in english, so if non-dutch speakers are there, we’d ofcourse converse in english, right Mark?

Tim, you bastard!
Roberto, I’m afraid nobody speaks Portugese, so English will have to do. As Tim kindly pointed out my pronounciation isn’t the best, but I don’t speak the language enough for that. I’ve added you to the list, and there’s an e-mail waiting for you.

Yeah, I don’t expect anyone to speak portuguese. It’s funny because portuguese is the sixth (IIRC) most spoken language in the world, but everybody is concentrated in Brazil, so you don’t get to use it very much around the world.
My knowledge of dutch consists of the following words: bedankt, gezellig, bitterballen, spekulaas and alstublift. And probably the spelling is completely wrong.

Actually it’s . The other words were fine though.
We don’t learn Spanish/Portugese here, whereas we do learn French, German and English.

Mark, your English pronounciation was ok, (I could understand you even if Tim couldn’t) your dialect however, it was as if you had been born here, swearing like a true Brit :p

Hmm sounds cool, since im near Utrecht around that time anyway, I guess I’ll be there. Allthough ‘trefpunt’ isn’t that bad as far as cafe’s in a central station go, I suggest Stairways to heaven, not to far from it, when everybody is there.

Jurriaan, cool! If I’m not mistaken the “trefpunt” is just the meeting place in the station, nothing else. Anyway, you’ve got mail.

Ai. That’s a shame. I would have enjoyed attending as well. Considering my OV is only valid in anything but the weekend, I don’t think I’ll find the money to get to Utrecht by train (and back of course). Hey, I am a poor student.
Perhaps some other time guys :)

*ahem* No, actually, these are truly hawaiian colors, like all bright shades of red, blue, green, purple, yellow, orange, some pink even I think, and a bunch of white along with it all. :D
